The sunnat
of the day of Eid are the following-
1) To wake up from
sleep at dawn.
2) To do bath.
3) To do ‘Miswak’.
4) To wear new and
neat & clean dresses as per one affords.
5) To use odor.
6) To pay ‘Swadkatul
Fitr’ before ‘swalat’/ prayer.
7) To eat some sweet
foods before ‘swalat of Eid-ul-Fitr’.
8) To eat
date/khurama by three, five or any odd
amounts.
9) To perform ‘Swalat
of
Fajar’ in one’s own regional ‘masjid’.
10) To walk by foot
to ‘Eidgah’, specified place for swalat of eid.
11) To go by one road
and come back by another path.
12) To go very early
morning for praying ‘swalat of eid’.
13) To perform ‘swalat
of eid’ going to ‘Eidgah’. If not possible, then do swalat at your regional
masjid.
14) To go for ‘Eidgah’
saying the following ‘dua’ quietly-
الله اكبر الله اكبر الله اكبر لا إلا الا الله
الله اكبر الله اكبر ولله الحمد
15) To make amusement
within the limit of ‘Shariat’/ rules of islam.
