Allah Pak Says that, "All of you! be Allah-wala." (Sura Al-Imran: 79)

It is not possible to have Eid on the same day all over the world but rather to be done on two days

Hadis Shareef mentions that, “You start Ramadan by sighting the moon and celebrate Eid also by sighting the moon. If moon is not sighted, then do complete the month in thirty days.” This very instruction of Hadis Shareef only indicates that it is not possible to have Eid on the same day all over the world but rather to be done on two days. Those in favour of Eid on a same day, lack knowledge on Shariat and geographical understanding. They should enhance their wisdom by accepting the guidance (Baiyaat) of a truly devoted Wali-Allah (friend of Allah) and through intense Dhikr and commitments.” Allah Pak Does say, “O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Satan. Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.” Therefore, every Muslim should perform all their Ramadan, Eid and other ibadah after the instructions of Allah Pak and the guidance of Rasoolullah Swallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam!

The Prime Point of Allah’s attention in this age, the Imam and Mujtahid of the age, Mujaddid of the age, the Greatest of the Mujaddids, Imamul Aimmah, Kutubul A’lam, Awlad-e-Rasool, Sayeeduna Imam of Rajarbagh Dorbar Sharee said, “Hadis Shareef mentions that, “You start Ramadan by sighting the moon and celebrate Eid also by sighting the moon. They should enhance their wisdom by accepting the guidance (Baiyaat) of a truly devoted Wali-Allah (friend of Allah) and through intense Dhikr and commitments.

Mujaddidu A’azam Mudda Zilluhul A’alee made those remarks at Rajarbagh Shareef on the fuss created in the society by an unwise corner through their self made explanations of starting the Ramadan and celebration of Eid on the same day all over the world without actually sighting the moon.

Mujaddidu A’azam Mamduh Hazrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “Those demanding to have Eid on the same day all over are devoid of Shariat knowledge and geographical concepts. Either they are haunted by emotions which have no value in Shariat or are resorting to evil tact with a view to creating fuss among the Muslims and derail them! Behind that remain their jew or christian lords.”

Mujaddidu A’azam Mamduh Hazrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “Violating Shariat, it would be futile to try to celebrate Eid on the same day all over for the cause of universal fraternity for this would not raise any brotherhood rather the Eid would be spoiled. They failed to provide any clear-cut explanations of having the Eid on the same day. A day could mean only a day (day hours) or a 24 hour day. Days vary according to solar and lunar months as well. In solar system, a day starts after 12 midnight and lasts until the next midnight. In lunar system, a day starts right after the sunset and remains till the next evening. One day may mean the same day or a date.”

Mujaddidu A’azam Mamduh Hazrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “Many would like having Eid all over the world on the same day as per Saudi timings that is having sighted the moon in the Saudi territory. But practically, having Eid on the same day or celebrating Eid all over the world with Saudi moon-sighting are all absurd things.

Mujaddidu A’azam Mamduh Hazrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee made detailed explanations on this aspect. It is worth noting for those in favour of the same day with Saudis that, in the year 1419 Hizri, the moon for the month of Shawaal was seen in Saudi Arabia on the 18th of January, Monday. That day, 18 January, moon was set in New Zealand 13 minutes after the sun was set and the age of the moon was only 17 hours. New Zealand did not sight the moon that evening and it was just not possible. Now our query is: if the New Zealanders had to celebrate Eid as per Saudi timings, then when they should have done it? When moon appeared in Saudi Arabia, the local time was 06.30 hours evening, Monday, 18 January 1999. That time, it was Tuesday at New Zealand, 04.30 hours early morning of 19 January, 1999. If Saudi supporters plead that New Zealand should go for Eid prayers at 7 in the morning, then, according to their choice, it is not taking place on the same date because it is already 19 January in New Zealand while it is 18 in Saudi Arabia.

As per the same day supporters, even if the New Zealanders did say their Tarabih prayers in the evening of 18 January and took their Sahri (early morning meals) for a Ramadan the following day, yet they have to abandon those and go for Eid prayers the following morning since Saudi Arabia has sighted the moon. Or that since Saudi Arabia would celebrate Eid on the morning of 19 January, so to keep pace with them, New Zealanders shall have to forego all the rituals of Ramadan even if moon was not seen.

Hadis Shareef says, “If moon is not seen on the 29th day of the month, then the month to be completed in 30 days.” But New Zealanders would violate that instruction and go for Eid without fulfilling those 30 days’ conditions.

And if it is told that New Zealanders should say their Eid prayers after the Saudis did, then it was late afternoon in New Zealand, 05.30 hours, a time not permissible for the Eid prayers. It is obvious that having Eid on the same day with Saudi Arabia is a silly proposition!

Mujaddidu A’azam Mamduh Hazrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “Moon is not always sighted at first in Saudi Arabia. It may appear first anywhere in the world. If the same day theory people believe this and yet they, having seen the moon at any corner of the world, advocate for Eid all over, then they should keep in mind the following points:

The Shawaal moon of the Hizri year 1418 was seen in North America even before it was sighted in Saudi Arabia. When at Texas in USA, the moon appeared on a Wednesday, 28 January evening at 06.30 hours, at that time, in New Zealand, moon went off 15 minutes before the sun was set. Age of the moon was only 46 minutes. So it was impossible to see the moon in New Zealand that day. Now lets see, having seen the moon at Texas at 06.30 hours, it was justified to celebrate Eid in New Zealand or not.

When in Texas, USA, it was:

Time: 06.30 hours the evening
Date: 28 January
Day: Wednesday

Then in New Zealand, it was:

Time: 01.30 hours in the afternoon
Date: 29 January
Day: Thursday

Now we find in New Zealand, Eid is not taking place as per the moon sighting in USA. Afternoon is not a permissible time for Eid prayers. And if it is told that Eid would be celebrated in Texas the next day, Thursday around 0800 hours in the morning and so the New Zealanders should follow them, yet it would not be appropriate because during the time of moon-sighting in Texas, it was already past meridian in New Zealand.

When in Texas, it would be prayers time, New Zealand shall have the following timings:

Time in Texas: 08.30 hours in the morning
Date: 29 January
Day: Thursday

Time in New Zealand: 03.00 hours in the morning
Date: 30 January
Day: Friday

Therefore, in no case, New Zealanders can celebrate Eid on a same day when moon would appear in North America. New Zealand shall have to celebrate Eid only the next day after they physically sight the moon.

Mujaddidu A’azam Mamduh Hazrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee further elaborates, “Samoa and New Zealand are located on the two sides of the international dateline. Sun rises and sets in these two countries more or less at the same time. The moon of the month of Shawaal of Hizri year 1429 appeared in these two countries at the same time on a same day.

In Samoa, moon was sighted:

Time: Close to 07.00 hours in the evening
Day: Tuesday
Date: 30 September 2008

In New Zealand, this moon was sighted:

Time: Close to 07.00 hours in the evening
Day: Wednesday
Date: 01 October 2008

Having seen the moon of Shawaal 1429 Hizri at the same time and on the same date, yet the people of these two countries could not celebrate Eid on the same day, owing to their location on two sides of the international dateline.

Again we shall prove with the examples of these two countries that celebration of Eid is mostly not possible not only on the same date but sometimes the same day. For example, when the moon of the month of Shawaal 1417 was seen in Samoa, then it was more than 40 hours of age. That day, moon was set almost 1 hour 14 minutes after the sun was set and moon was visible in Samoa.

Same day, in New Zealand, when sun was set, the moon was old by only 24 minutes. It set 8 minutes after the sunset and was seen no more. As a result, when moon was visible in Samoa, then it was:

Time: 07.30 hours
Date: 08 February
Day: Saturday

But in New Zealand, it was:

Time: 07.30 hours
Date: 09 February
Day: Sunday

Sunday, 09 February morning, when Samoans were celebrating Eid, New Zealanders could not do it. Moon was visible in New Zealand on the 10th of February, when it was more than 65 hours old.

Therefore, those one-day advocates may not be able to perform Eid on the same day and date even if their locations are in close proximity. So they must pay heed to realizing the truth, the basic reasons. “If moon is not visible on the 29th day, then complete the month in thirty days” means that Eid shall have to be celebrated in the world on two different days. Moon, even if visible on its 29th day, shall not be so at many other places. Therefore, before spreading confusion, these propagandists must think again. It is a heavy load to bear the responsibility of spreading fabrication.

Mujaddidu A’azam Mamduh Hazrat Murshid Qibla Mudda Zilluhul A’alee says, “In fact those one-day advocates are lacking the very knowledge of the Shariat as well as geographical concepts. They should rather augment their wisdom by accepting the guidance (baiyaat) of a truly devoted Wali-Allah (friend of Allah) and through intense Dhikr and commitments. Allah Pak Does say, “O you who believe!
